Respiratory Safety Training For OSHA and NIOSH Compliance

This topic is a little more complicated than some others and requires a safety audit to determine the hazards of the atmosphere surrounding the job. It might be bacteria like mold spores, dust, fumes or gases and the ppm (Parts per Million) of each, if its an allowable number or needs special attention. Each application needs to be treated differently and the appropriate respiratory apparatus assigned. Once that has been determined the training starts it includes why, what happens if, how do I don it, and test it for fit, Is the employee medically fit for the application,  finally how do I take care of the equipment. A written plan (Respiratory Protection Plan - OSHA 29CFR1910.134, ANSI Z88.2-1992) is required and an administrator is required to monitor or execute the program
