About Lead Safety Training For OSHA and NIOSH Compliance

Lead, a substance found abundantly in mother earth, is a chemical element in the carbon group with symbol Pb. It has been determined to be harmful to your health if ingested. Wikipedia says "If ingested, lead is poisonous to animals, including humans. It damages the nervous system and causes brain disorders". Excessive lead also causes blood disorders in mammals. Thus we have OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.1025: in the past lead was used in: paint, ceramics, pipes, solders, gasoline, batteries, and cosmetics. Much of this has changed since 1980 but still remains a threat. This training will help you define your  responsibility and  identify sources as well as adverse effects.
