Laboratory Safety Plan - OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910.1450, NFPA-45 (laboratory protection):

Provides the user with the needed written plan for establishing the requirements for exposure control, chemical hygiene plan development, employee information and training, medical consultation and medical examinations, hazard identification (label's and MSDS's), chemical substances developed in the laboratory and use of respirators. Numerous editable safety forms included.

    BASIS:

Laboratory workers are routinely exposed to hazardous chemicals such as acetone, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide, mercury, nitric acid and xylene. Many accidents and injuries occur annually in laboratories, resulting in chemical-related illnesses ranging from skin and eye irritation to fatal pulmonary edema. This poses a serious problem for exposed workers and their employer. This standard practice instruction establishes uniform requirements to ensure that the hazards associated with work in laboratories are evaluated, safety procedures implemented, and that the proper hazard information is transmitted to all affected workers.

Editable safety forms included with program are:
Employees exposed to asbestos at or above the permissible exposure levels. Employees who perform housekeeping operations in areas that contain ACM and PACM.
